An Ancient Thai Massage is so much more than a simple massage. It can be experienced as a two hour moving meditation where the receiver may enter deep states of relaxation where inner healing may take place.
Ancient Thai Massage is based on the concept of energy lines running through the body. Yoga and other philosophies state that life energy, or prana, is absorbed with the food we eat and the air we breathe. Along a network of energy-lines, the so-called ‘prana nadis’, the human being is then supplied with this vital energy. These lines form a second body in addition to the physical body. Ten main lines are selected in Ancient Thai Massage along which there are especially important pressure points.
An Ancient Thai Massage is also called ‘Yoga for the lazy man’, where the receiver is as relaxed as possible while being stretched, squeezed and taken care of. It is a very dynamic massage which combines different techniques. As a receiver your only task is to keep breathing, while receiving a firm yet loving massage.
